Medli Update and Cute Stuff

Here's what I've done so far on Medli. It's not going as fast as I would like, but that's okay. It's the summer holidays after all, so time to relax!

Here's a short video of Bailey drinking water out of a Baileys glass. Normally she'd just stick her head in and kind of lick the water, but she couldn't reach so this was her solution. Makes me giggle.

And I found this really really cute website with all these amazing cream puffs and cookies! Oh yes, Totoro cream puffs! かわいいですよね＾＾！

Jane Eyre Tea Party & a New Project

Today a friend of mine came over to watch the new Jane Eyre, directed by Cary Fukunaga. We had a little tea party with all sorts of typical English stuff. Lemon cake, After Eight - the cherries aren't very English, but I thought we had to have something 'healthy' to eat.

My friend brought over some lovely English fudge. Oh, I really really love English fudge..!

And here is my new project. The colours aren't very clear in this picture, but that's okay. You can't really see what it's going to be at this point, since I haven't done very much yet, but it's Medli from the Legend of Zelda the Wind Waker. I got this pattern of DorkStitches' blog. I love her blog!

Alice Exchange with Fiona!

Thanks for your comments, Fiona and Emma. The person who I'm going to do the exchange with is Fiona! I think it's nice to do the exchange with Fiona, since she is from a city where they celebrate Alice Day! Fiona, could you give me your e-mail address, please? Just leave it in the comments below and if you want I'll delete it immediately after I've read it. I'll send you more details on the exchange and - if you want to - I can tell you what I am going to send you. Thanks!

Here are a few kitty photos, since I haven't been posting a lot of them lately...cough. Bailey wanted some cuddles.

And Bouchra looks like she really didn't want me to take pictures of her. But I did anyway!

Ben wanted a zipper in his Kindle cover, so his Kindle wouldn't fall out. Hope he's going to use this Legend of Zelda cover now!

Alice in Wonderland Exchange

Hi everyone!

I haven't been working on Alice for a couple of days...bit lazy, sorry about that. The lovely lovely weather, Animal Crossing and the release of Pokémon Conquest haven't been helping either...

Anyway! Who would like to participate in an Alice in Wonderland themed exchange? If you are, just leave a comment below and I'll choose one person to do the exchange with.

I don't know if I should tell you what you get or let it be a surprise...if you're curious just let me know and I'll post it.

Oh, almost forgot, you can comment on this post till the 29th of July. On the 29th I'll choose one person to do the exchange with me.

Hope everyone is enjoying the summer holidays and the nice weather!
Happy stitching everyone!

Special Agent Francis York Morgan

I totally forgot to post a picture of Special Agent Francis York Morgan without the ugly plastic! So here he is. Ben wears this t-shirt all the time. Makes me happy^^

Alice in Wonderland II

So here's the first upadte on  Alice in Wonderland. I've finished her hair and I'm now stitching her apron. Unfortunately, her apron is white, so you can't see it very well.

Hope I finish this piece in time, so I can give it to my aunt next week! Happy stitching everyone!

Alice in Wonderland

So this is my new project: Alice in Wonderland. This is the Alice from Kingdom Hearts, I think she's really cute. My aunt is called Alice and because she's my favourite aunt I decided to stitch and frame her this Alice in Wonderland.

I did this in two days. It's quite small though, I thought it would be really big, but it's 60x80 stitches. (60 wide and 80 high). My aunt is coming over next week, hope to have framed it by then!

And, as promised, some cute kitty pictures! As you can see it was a very hot day and Bailey and Bouchra were looking for shade.

Oh, and the summer holidays started, hurrah! (That's why I work at a high school).

A Clockwork Orange & Zelda Kindle Cover

I'm sorry for not posting for so long! Unfortunately I haven't had the time to stitch or make things. I did take lots of pictures of my cats of course, but this post is going to be cross stitch only. Next time I'll post some lovely kitty pictures.

Ben wanted me to make a cover for his Kindle, so I thought I'd stitch something book related for him. He liked A Clockwork Orange, so I decided to make a pattern of the book cover. Unfortunately, you can't really tell that it's A Clockwork Orange, unless you stitch the title on it as well. The eye just doesn't pop enough. I decided to stop the Clockwork Orange thingy. Didn't enjoy stitching it at all...
Remember I didn't know what to do with the Link and Princess Zelda piece of cloth? Well, here's what I made of it.

At the moment my Oxford Japanese Mini Dictionary is in it, but it's definitely big enough for a Kindle. I'm going to give this cover - well, sleeping bag - to Ben tomorrow. Hope he likes it!
