Hiya! I'm Emma and on this blog I'll post anything really - mostly about stitching nerdy things though! Thank you for taking a look at my blog and I hope you enjoy it!

Sleepy Kitties, Snorlax and Special Agent Francis York Morgan
Here's Bailey sleeping on my bed. (I really want to take a picture of them stretching, it looks so funny)!
Here's Bouchra sleeping on the couchy thing. I think they're so cute when they're asleep! The only problem is that - most of the time - they wake up the minute I want to take a picture of them. I found a solution! I switched off all the sounds on my camera - why didn't I think that earlier?
Mum frames Snorlax for us, hurrah! She didn't cut the frame, she said he just fit, except for this really small piece of his ear. I kind of like him being to cropped up in the frame, looks like he doesn't have any room. Fat Snorlax.
I didn't stitch a lot the last - two? - weeks, because it's been way too hot. Especially when working with the solvable plastic, it just melts and gets really really thin, which is not very nice to work with. I do however, have a small update which you can see on the picture above. B went to America with his mum for some family stuff and it's cold here again at the moment so I'll have plenty of time to finish this t-shirt! I really want to finish it before he comes back, so he can wear it when he's home again. Oh how I miss him... So that gives me a week, should be able to do that! I'm nearly done with the bright blue.
Am a bit nervous though...tomorrow's my last exam and I actually have to give someone I don't know a massage and inspect his or her muscles and bones and everything. Luckily I already passed for my four other exams, they were just some multiple choice questions. I just practiced taping muscles on my little sister and it was all good until she had to take them all off...maybe I should've asked an older person to be my guinea-pig. Ah well, she's okay now...

IHSW Day III & IV: a New Project!
As I told you in my previous post, I started a new project. This project is going to be for B and this is what I did yesterday (picture above) and this is what I did today (picture below). You probably don't know what it is yet, since it's not very clear. Surely, you can see that it's a man, but what kind of man?
I'll tell you what and who this person on B's t-shirt is. It's Special Agent Francis York Morgan, he's from Deadly Premonition. Does anyone know this game? I do, I absolutely LOVE it, and so does B. It's Hidetaka Suehiro's (also know as Swery65) version of Twin Peaks and it's fantastic. If you haven't played it yet, go find yourself a copy and play it! And if you haven't seen Twin Peaks yet, go find yourself a DVD box set with season one, two and the movie - but be sure to watch the movie after watching the series - the movie contains major spoilers!
Oh, and good news on the bag front! I went to the shop where I bought the bag with the super magnets and the shop owner told me I could exchange it for another bag or - if I didn't see one I liked, she'd give me my money back. How nice is that? Especially since I bought it half a year ago and on the receipt it says 'exchange within 8 days'. Anyway, I saw the bag I wanted and I am now very very happy with it! It's beautiful and I've had it for three days now. Oh I love it...I think it's gorgeous.
Not much to say about the cats, didn't take that many pictures of them this weekend. They're still really cute and weird and Bouchra is really curious and love being outside all of a sudden. Probably because of the weather - it's finally getting warmer!
Hope you've all had a good International Hermit & Stitch Weekend!

IHSW: Days I, II & III
This International Hermit & Stitch Weekend is an extra long one because of Hemelvaart - don't know what that is in English - but, as you can see, I'm becoming a slow stitcher. This is what I did on the first three days of the IHSW.
Snorlax is finished! Hurrah, finally! Now it's time to frame him. Just one problem...
He doesn't fit! Mum's going to be cutting the frame, so he will fit. Thank you mum! Pff...took me so long to finish this one! Don't know why. Anyway, later today I'm going to be starting another project. This project is going to be on a t-shirt and it's for B. Hopefully I can show you something tomorrow or so.
I don't know what they're doing here, but Bailey's on top of the stairs staring down at Bouchra and Bouchra's staring back at her. Cats are weird. And awesome. Wouldn't you just love to be a cat? They're sunbathing at the moment.
After I take a shower the cats always come in to lick the water off the floor. Really weird. Today they did that as well. I really wanted to take a picture of them, but when I got my camera they suddenly didn't want to drink anymore...
Hope you're all having a nice IHSW and hope you make good progress on your projects!

Loads to Tell, Not Much About Stitching
When I went to pick up the cats in Rotterdam, the people gave us a blanket to take with us for the cats, so they had something that smelt like home. Mum washed it, because they didn't sit on it - it was full of cat hairs anyway - so she thought we could use it. Wrong. Wednesday night I took the blanket out of the 'blanket basket' and Bailey immediately jumped on my lap - which she hadn't done before, so I was ecstatic! She sat there for about an hour and a half and the next day they were both lying on it, but it was folded so a bit too small for both of them. Bouchra keeps push padding the blanket which looks really sweet. Now they sleep on the blanket together.
Today I bought some new bowls for them, aren't they cute? Hope they don't try to get the fish out...that could get messy...
Don't really have to tell anything about this picture, I just like it a lot. Looks like they're talking about something. Hmmm, sometimes I wish I could talk to animals. That would be awesome!
A few things came in the mail this week and I'm very excited about them! A friend of ours who lives in San Francisco, sent us two copies of American Elle and a bunch of DMC threads! The reason she sent us American Elle, is that B and I are featured in it! You can see our picture on the left page, the one with lots of green. I'm so excited about it!
Another thing...I had this bag, I absolutely loved it (I didn't take this picture, by the way) until I noticed that everything I put in there that had a battery in it was breaking down... The magnets were wat too strong! It was quite an expensive bag and I needed to save up money to buy it, so I went back to the shop where I got it. She took it and is going to send it back to MBMJ and I hope I can pick out a new one. Now I have to use my old bag again, nothing wrong with that, but I don't really like it anymore. I've been wearing my old one for about two years - every single day. Do you have a favourite bag? What do you carry in it? Please post a 'what's in my bag' picture in the comments.
Haha, Bailey snores!
Hope you all have a wonderful weekend - and don't forget it's Mother's Day tomorrow!

Snorlax Update I
B and I had such lovely sushi last Saturday! The kitchen smelt like sushi and Kikkoman for hours, made us quite hungry afterwards.
This is my progress on Snorlax. Still have a lot of colour to stitch!
Someone with a wonky bike cycled past our house and the cats sped to the window to see what that weird noise was. Unfortunately, they were a bit too slow, because the cyclist was already around the corner.

Snorlax
I started a new Pokémon today, hope I can finish it this weekend so I can frame it and start a new one! Snorlax is quite a big one...hope he'll fit into the small square in the frame...am afraid he won't fit...
We'll see...he shouldn't eat that much.
Last night I sorted out my DMC threads, I think it looks quite nice. It was a lot of work, but now I can find all the colours I need. Well, not all of them, they didn't all fit...maybe I should buy another one of these boxes... They're really handy!
I wanted to post a short video of Bouchra playing with my sister L. I tied a fake mouse to a string and the cats just go crazy when you let it fly through the room. Wanted to share it with you, but unfortunately I couldn't upload it...

Emolga
This week is/was my week off from work and I decided to do a bit of stitching again. But I wasn't really in the mood for Scott Pilgrim, because - as you may have noticed when reading my 'currently playing' list - I am very into Pokémon at the moment. But, first things first, B's birthday was this week! We had a small, but really nice, celebration and this was his birthday muffin!
Yesterday B and I went out to dinner with his dad and his dad's +1 and when I came home I wanted to work some more on Emolga. My cats missed me, as soon as they heard my voice they ran to the couch and watched me stitch. Well...I didn't get much done yesterday, because my cats thought the threads were very interesting and nice to play with. So I just played with them.
It went something like this.
Emma: Hello kitties!
Bouchra: What is she doing?
Bailey: I don't know, but it looks nice!
Bouchra: Let's play with it!
Emma: No, don't jump on Emolga! Oh ok, come and play with the threads then. Cuties.
I tried to take pictures of my cats today, but apparently they weren't in the mood...
Emma: Can I take your picture? You don't have to do anything, just lie there, sleep, wash yourself - whatever - look cute.
Bouchra: No, not again, let me sleep...please?
Bailey: Just don't look at her, she'll go away eventually.
Emma: It's not like I do this every day...
Bouchra: Ok, just one quick picture.
Emma: Thanks you guys!
So, these are the only two decent pictures I could take today. And one's half asleep and the other one's asleep! Ah well, I still think they look cute.
So, this is the finished Emolga. I made this one for my sister C. B lent me his Pokémon Fire Red and I was so in the mood for stitching Pokémon, but I didn't really know what Pokémon to stitch and what to do with it when it's finished. We went to the Ikea this week and I bought a couple of frames and decided to let my sister choose a Pokémon she likes and frame it, so she can hang it in her room.
I just finished and I framed it before she came home. She really really likes it. I'm quite happy with it as well. We just need to find a place to hang it.
I bought some coloured aida and a box to tidy my DMC threads...really should start sorting them all out, otherwise it will just be one big knot... Anyway, because I'm so into Pokémon, you'll be seeing a lot of Pokémon stitches instead of Scott Pilgrim. Think I'm going to wait with that one...I know, I know, I should man up and finish it, but it already feels like a chore...it has SO many colours!
Happy stitching everyone!

My New 'Roommates'!
Yesterday my new 'roommates' arrived! Well, my dad and I had to go pick them up, but it was a nice outing. They are SO cute and so sweet and I just can't stop cuddling them.
They're two sisters, they're seven years old - because they first belonged to someone else I couldn't name them myself, the brown one is called Bailey and the grey one is called Bouchra.
The thing Bouchra is lying in is her old basket from her previous owners. We thought it would be nice to take something from their old home with us.
But, as you can see, they've already found a new spot to relax: my bed!
